The historic Woodward Opera House is proud to introduce “Coffee Cup,” a new live stage experience inspired by one of Knox County’s most beloved traditions of conversation and community storytelling. Created by longtime arts educators and community leaders Joe and Marty Bell, Coffee Cup brings the spirit of local connection to the stage in a relaxed, talk-show-style format.
Blending the feel of a casual coffeehouse conversation with the energy of a live show, the evening invites audiences to sit back, listen, laugh, and reflect as local voices share
stories that have shaped the fabric of the community. Each program will feature guests that many in the community already know from business owners and educators to artists, leaders, and neighbors, while uncovering new and meaningful aspects of their lives through engaging, conversational interviews.

Each program will also include recurring segments such as the lighthearted “Coffee Cup Quiz” and the community-focused “Scoop and Buzz,” highlighting local happenings and events.
